We are still in the elementary years of our Writing Tips for Every Grade. This week it is about grade four, which is a transitional year for a lot of students as they learn the skills that they will need for middle school writing. This tip has to do with outlining. While younger kids can often get buy rambling through a little paragraph (sweeties that they are!), this grade often requires longer projects, and the need for outlining increases.
