We made time, and we always talked.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Introducing 52 Weeks of Talking to Our Kids\" href=\"#\" rel=\"lightbox\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Introducing 52 Weeks of Talking to Our Kids\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1441\/23806577349_9128103219_z.jpg\" alt=\"Introducing 52 Weeks of Talking to Our Kids\" height=\"640\" width=\"640\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a title=\"Introducing 52 Weeks of Talking to Our Kids\" href=\"#\" rel=\"lightbox\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Introducing 52 Weeks of Talking to Our Kids\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1678\/24147597626_1bec647a90_z.jpg\" alt=\"Introducing 52 Weeks of Talking to Our Kids\" height=\"480\" width=\"640\"><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The family that plays together&#8230;talks together!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>So in honor of that frequent question, I have been pondering how to help parents talk to their kids more. I recently did a podcast episode called \u201cWays to Spend More Time With Your Kids in the Coming Year,\u201d which definitely delved into some of our \u201ctalking tips,\u201d but I wanted to do more\u2014times to talk to kids, how to talk to littles, ways to get teens to talk more, how to let your kids know that you want to know what is in their hearts, how to weed through the clutter to what your child is really feeling, and more.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a title=\"Talk while you are out and about--and teach every where you go with your child!\" href=\"#\" rel=\"lightbox\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Introducing 52 Weeks of Talking to Our Kids\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1576\/24091098041_415d146cbc_z.jpg\" alt=\"Introducing 52 Weeks of Talking to Our Kids\" height=\"480\" width=\"640\"><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Talk while you are out and about&#8211;and teach every where you go with your child!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>So&#8230;.in 2016, I am going to run a series called 52 Weeks of Talking to Our Kids. Each week I will run a different blog post about talking\u2014where, when, how, who, why, and more. From \u201cBaby Talk\u201d (our first post in a day or two) to how to get your teen to open up. From asking the right questions to techno free zones.
