Every Christmas I try to get one or two great family game, that one game that everybody will love, that will get us around the dining room table in the dark winter evenings, talking, laughing, and having fun. I have struck gold many years for our family games, and the year we got Call It was one of those years.

I won’t try to give the full instructions here, but there are several things I love about this game. for one thing, several people can play this game. (we played it with eight.) So many games are only for four, five, or six people. It does not require writing or acting–two things that some of our crew appreciated. Lastly, and most importantly to me, everybody is involved all the time. There is no waiting for a lengthy move or boredom as the seven people before you have their turn. Because somebody could turn up a card that matches the one you have turned up, you have to be “in the game” the entire time. This makes it a fast paced game in which everybody is participating all the time.
